A Taoist master and his disciple are walking along a river. They observe trout jumping up and down in the water. The master says: “Look at those trout! They are so happy, dancing in the river!” The disciple asks back: “How do you know they are happy doing this? Are you a trout?” But the master continued:” How do you know that I don’t know what a trout thinks? Are you me?”

یه تائویست و مریدش در کنار رودخانه قدم می زدند و به قزل آلاها نگاه می کردند که در آب رودخانه شناکنان بالا وپایین می جهیدند. تائویست به شاگردش می گه:"اون قزل آلاها رو ببین، چه شادمانه در رودخانه می رقصند؟! "مریدش در جواب می پرسه: "شما از کجا می دونین که شادمانه این کار رو می کنن؟مگه شما یه قزل آلایی؟" تائویست در پاسخ می گه:" خب تو از کجا می دونی که من نمی دونم یه قزل آلا تو چه عالمی یه؟ مگه تو منی؟"

ببخشین من ترجمه به فارسی ام بهتر از این نمی شه!! نمی دونم تائویست به فارسی چی می شه!!!! انیتا
