Freedom quarter

I took off my cap and put it in the cage
And I left with a bird on my head
Aren't you going to salute any more?
Demanded the commander
No
No more salutes
Answered the bird
Oh, okay
Excuse me, I thought your were going to salute
Said the commander
It's okay, everybody can make mistakes
Said the bird

i wish i could give the most meaningful poems, the most beautiful smiles, the deepest valleys, the highest mountains, the most azure oceans, the whitest clouds
to
all free people
to those who fight bravely
to the last drop of their blood,
to Ganji .
--------------------------------------------
addressing the "leader" of iran, Khamenei, he asks bravely :"how can one topple him down peacefully? how can one ask him to leave his [totalitarian] power without getting mutilated by him?..."

human rights has no right !!!

what most of iranians want is a change from within, without a war or a long period of chaos, anarchy, bloodshedding and military forces interference!!! but, having freedom and democracy is really expensive.
are we ready to pay the price?! if so, how much?!
but if not, we'd better shut up!

Ganji explains this matter in an eloquent manner in his letter (English translation) to Mr. Montazeri.

Ganji's situation is being used by many political parties, groups and people around the world (even by the very hardliners inside iran) towards insisting on their own ideas about iran and its regime, and their benefits in this country.
Guardian has a short report dealing with this issue by looking at American Conservatives' opportunistic acts supporting Ganji's causes and requests!
---------------
...and human rights is still getting trampled and rediculed in many countries including iran:

la libération has a news article (in French) about an Iranian Judiciary high official's report regarding the terrible situation in the jails and courts in iran. the news has a brief look at Ganji and Zahra Kazemi's cases as well.

Human Rights Annual Report 2005 by UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office tries to give a report on countries that don't respect human rights. (you can only download "Overview" or "Major Countries of Concern" to know about the report on iran)
----------------
EU has once again (after only 18 days) called on iran for the release of Ganji; they also express their regret for human rights getting disrespected and ignored in iran.

this must be a warning for the regime, but...!

vultures are getting ready ... !!!

Ganji is said to be hooked up to IV tubes in the hospital, from time to time, but he doesn't eat food yet.
his health condition hasn't improved and he is under tight security control 24/7; he has been even threatened to death by the Prosecutor,
Saeed Mortazavi.
he has explained many things including his current appalling situation in
a letter (in Persian) to Mr. Montazeri in response to his request to end the hunger strike.
Abbass Maroufi has also written
this (in Persian) for/to him.

Shamlou is always alive
24th of july is the anniversary of
Shamlou's death.
his poems will always live with us, will open our eyes, and soothe our broken hearts at the harsh times of oppression and tyranny.
